Well, finally my writing campagne seems to be getting attention.
I received a phone call from “The Office of the President” at First Horizon. I can tell you it was not the big man himself.
I do not think for one nano second that anything will come of this.
I am not even willing to give the big bosses the benefit of the doubt – that they do not understand what is happening in their organizations. It they don’t they should. They should not be so far removed so isolated from the nuts and blots. They make enough money they are supposed know on some level. Those employees – are they organization – the first line of defense – in this case.
For me, if the lower level employee is rude – unprofessional – it’s a trickle down effect. It is part of the culture – an it is accepted.
I did send him the most recent sampling of what I am call ” my bête noire // “. I do have another phrase for it – not going put that in here.
It truly is a nightmare – I wonder, how any of those unprofessional and judgemental people working for First Horizon would feel if they were in my position. “There but for the grace of God go I”. You just never know when something or someone will affect your life – bad things happen to good people.
Let’s face it – there are thousands of reasons why – we (homeowners) got to where we are. Not all of the homeowners bought a McMansion or a mini- castle – not all of us lived beyond our means. Sometimes you can do everything right and bad stuff happens.
In our case, we have a modest home – live within our means. At the beginning of the recession we felt our lifeline (our business) lose sales. No sales – no money – no mortgage payments. It was like someone shut of a faucet. We felt the recession long before it “became fashionable.” immediately we tried to shift gears – got employment – which was unbelievable. Changed our business model. From that point everything cascaded – downward.
We have been ready, willing and able to pay our mortgage. We would not be months and months behind if First Horizon had “done their part”. Because – they kept putting us off – essentially ignoring us – we would not be in this position. We did everything we could to keep the lines of communication OPEN!
I do not understand how on month we qualify – the next we don’t. (What changed – they cannot answer) First we do not make enough money – they we make – to much. (HUH) It is always some different reason as to why we do not qualify.
I have closely followed each senator, each representative and the Obama administration – each time they implemented a “plan” to help the homeowner – it failed.
Was all of it “lip service” just to shut us up or “do those we elect not have they power they think they do”?
I think the banks do not care what plan is implemented – they will do what they want. They do not want to help us – they do want to help themselves. That means – they “do want to foreclose”. If they foreclose – it is written off immediately – the books look better. They will come after you for the difference – you do not walk away free and clear.
