More Foreclosure nightmares?

November 2, 2011

Just to let you all know – this blog is still very active.  I’m pretty busy working my butt off – to pay the penalties the lenders imposed on us for NO reason – other than they could and did.

While I may have gotten a modification I do not trust these lenders.  I have made 14 payments – not late once.

I’m not done fighting – these bandits need to be held accountable.  Those of you out – don’t give up.  Write to every politician connected to your state including your state Attorney General, your mayor and your governor.  Do not let up.

I don’t know when the White House and all those elected official will finally get the message that this crisis is NOT just about sub-prime loans.  This is about people that are in a heap of trouble because of loss of income.  Jobs!

You have to fight for yourself and fight back hard.

Homes seized by lenders under questionable circumstances.

October 19, 2011

The state’s highest court added further turmoil to the housing market yesterday when it ruled that buyers of some foreclosed homes may not be the legal owners of those properties.

The decision leaves in limbo hundreds, if not thousands, of people who bought homes seized by lenders under questionable circumstances. They are left with no easy recourse; among their options are to sue the lender behind the botched foreclosure or “reforeclose’’ on the prior owner.

1 in 381 Homes Foreclosed on – in August up 25%

September 16, 2010

For the entire article click here:  http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100916/ap_on_bi_ge/us_foreclosure_rates

Lenders took back more homes in August than in any month since the start of the U.S. mortgage crisis.

Larry Book of Winter Garden, Fla., was one packet away from a permanent loan modification from Chase under the Obama administration’s foreclosure prevention plan after more than a year of back and forth and one failed attempt.

But his modification never went through. Instead, his loan was transferred from Chase to IBM Lender Business Process Servicers in July and he was told he owed $9,562.62 and must bring his mortgage current by Sept. 15 or foreclosure proceedings will begin.

It just becomes too exhausting,” Book said about the modification process. “That’s why some people walk away. But I’ve invested too much and given up too much to just let it go.”

Most homeowners will NOT qualify because of the “rules”  the lenders and Fannie Mae impose. I’ve stated that before many times.  Homeowners are NOT looking for a handout – just a chance to save their home.

This is NOT going to get better in September.  Those numbers 1 in 381 SCARE ME.

Whistleblower: Fannie Mae Bungled HAMP Anti-Foreclosure Program

September 3, 2010

Wanted to share this with you – from a poster. Thank You!

Fannie Mae executives bungled their stewardship of the federal government’s massive foreclosure-prevention campaign, creating a bureaucratic muddle characterized by “mismanagement and gross waste of public funds,” according to a whistleblower lawsuit by a former Fannie Mae executive and consultant.

Just for you Agent F

August 30, 2010
I have not posted your comments because I suspected you were working for IBM or trying to solicit business.

I have a big problem with most of your comments.  Your comments are mostly wrong and very naive.  They speak from the inside and not from the outside.  I have been in this nightmare for 2 1/2 years I know of where I speak.

Sure I made the original error – but who knew our entire business would vanish almost overnight? No sales no money. Then the economy crashed we got grouped up with “The Bubble” and those that could not afford what they purchased.  24 years in this home not exactly a bubble.

Within 4 months we were back on track ready to pay our mortgage – downhill all the way. Said they sent a package – but had no proof.  Another package – we sent certificated check – signature verification – they never received – yet I have proof they did.  Thousands of pages of documents faxed and mailed – yet they still want more of the same.

I am in foreclosure and have been since 2008. The foreclosure has only been delayed – so you are wrong.

I have an attorney – I have written to every elected official connected to my state and First Horizon – that is how I have gotten the delay.
Published in our local newspaper just this week – even though I was assured the modification was approved and the publication was cancelled.

I could go on and on about my plight – but if you read the earlier posts you would be better informed.

I am not looking for a hand out – I just want to keep my home of 24 years.  I have the ability to pay.

I was in banking for 20 years and I have never encountered so many incompetent, rude and just plain stupid people in my 53 years. Whenever they do speak to you – it’s a lie.

I have been fortunate ( if you can call it that) I live in a “nanny state” very strict consumer laws – so my doors have not been busted in, as has happen in some states.  Yeah – read the past blogs.
I also have had the good luck to have a Senator and Representative – that keeps calling and writing on my behalf.  I’ve written to every agency and every committee connected to this mess.

My advice is simple –  1. look out for yourself – because the lenders will not.  2. Get a lawyer – there are many that will make the fight affordable. 3. Write to anyone and everyone connected.

You would be shocked at the number of agencies out there that will help.

Those agencies you write about – right up there with the lenders. They are paralyzed with rules and regulations they do not understand in this economy the rules do not work.

Now tell me – where is IBM on my latest fax – about the foreclosure notice being published and letters from their attorney. I am being ignored AGAIN.

Am I angry – you bet!  I am angry at the sheer stupidly and incompetence.

The biggest problem I see (and there are many) is the lack of “follow-up”.  Fix that and you are half way home Agent F.

Maybe you do really want to help – I’ll applaud you for that and I’ll post your comments – if they are factual and correct.

Giving people false hope is NOT the answer – be a human being and (kindly) shoot straight.

The Risks of walking away from mortgage debt strategic foreclosure

August 24, 2010

I wanted to share some information I took into consideration regarding walking away from an under water mortgage.  In my case, we made a decision not to walk away.  I think this article adds another dimension that for consideration in your decision. http://www.bankrate.com/finance/mortgages/risks-of-walking-away-from-mortgage-debt-1.aspx

A few highlights that made me rethink walking away.

Some homeowners underwater on their home loan — meaning they owe more on the mortgage than the home’s current value — are turning to “strategic defaults” in which they simply walk away from mortgage debt.

The American Bankers Association recently warned homeowners about the consequences of strategic default, including the possibility of the bank obtaining a judgment to pursue the homeowner’s assets, such as bank accounts,  cars and investments.

Wrecked credit

A foreclosure — regardless of whether it is because of a strategic default or other circumstances — also has a negative impact on a consumer’s credit score.

“A foreclosure is one of the stronger predictors of future credit risk,” says Craig Watts, public affairs director of FICO.

Foreclosures remain on a credit report for seven years, with the impact gradually lessening over time.

Difficulty getting new mortgage

In addition, a voluntary foreclosure can impact a homeowner’s ability to qualify for a new mortgage for years to come

Other consequences

Tax liability is another potential danger of defaulting. Although the Mortgage Forgiveness Debt Relief Act of 2007 (extended through 2012) offers widespread protection from federal taxes following a foreclosure, state taxes still may be due on unpaid debt.

A lender can also pursue the remaining debt from an unpaid loan by obtaining a deficiency judgment against the delinquent borrower, or may work with a collection agency to recoup losses.

Less risky in some states

Despite the potential negative consequences of a strategic default, the move is less risky in some states than others.

“The first question for anyone considering a strategic default is whether the homeowners will be liable for the debt anyway. “Each state has different rules.”

Non-recourse laws protect homeowners in some states. When a borrower defaults in one of these states, the lender can take the home through a foreclosure but has no right to any other borrower assets. (Home equity loans are not eligible for this protection unless they were used as part of the home purchase.)

According to research from the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, 11 states are “non-recourse” states: Alaska, Arizona, California, Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oregon, Washington and Wisconsin.

“In California, we have some of the best anti-deficiency rules around, so banks can foreclose on the home but cannot get any other judgment to claim additional assets.

Nearly 50 percent leave mortgage-aid program

August 23, 2010

WASHINGTON (AP) — Nearly half of the 1.3 million homeowners who enrolled in the Obama administration’s flagship mortgage-relief program have fallen out.

The program is intended to help those at risk of foreclosure by lowering their monthly mortgage payments. Friday’s report from the Treasury Department suggests the $75 billion government effort is failing to slow the tide of foreclosures in the United States, economists say.

More than 2.3 million homes have fallen into foreclosure since the recession began in December 2007, according to foreclosure listing service RealtyTrac Inc. Economists expect the number of foreclosures to grow well into next year.

“The government program as currently structured is petering out. It is taking in fewer homeowners, more are dropping out and fewer people are ending up in permanent modifications,” said Mark Zandi, chief economist at Moody’s Analytics.

Besides forcing people from their homes, foreclosures and distressed home sales have pushed down on home values and crippled the broader housing industry. They have made it difficult for homebuilders to compete with the depressed prices and discouraged potential sellers from putting their homes on the market.

Approximately 630,000 people who had tried to get their monthly mortgage payments lowered through the government program have been cut loose through July, according to the Treasury report. That’s about 48 percent of the those who had enrolled since March 2009.

And it is up from more than 40 percent through June.

Another 421,804, or roughly 32 percent of those who started the program, have received permanent loan modifications and are making their payments on time.

RealtyTrac reported that the number of U.S. homes lost to foreclosure surged in July to 92,858 properties, up 9 percent from June. The pace of repossessions has been increasing and the nation is now on track to having more than 1 million homes lost to foreclosure by the end of the year. That would eclipse the more than 900,000 homes repossessed in 2009, the firm says.

Lenders have historically taken over about 100,000 homes a year, according to RealtyTrac.

Zandi said the government effort will likely end up helping only about 500,000 homeowners lower their monthly payments on a permanent basis. That’s a small percentage of the number of people who have already lost their homes to foreclosure or distressed sales like short sales — when lenders let homeowners sell for less than they owe on their mortgages.

Zandi predicts another 1.5 million foreclosures or short sales in 2011.

“We still have a lot more foreclosures to come and further home price declines,” Zandi said. He said home prices, which have already fallen 30 percent since the peak of the housing boom, would drop by another 5 percent by next spring.

Many borrowers have complained that the government program is a bureaucratic nightmare. They say banks often lose their documents and then claim borrowers did not send back the necessary paperwork.

The banking industry said borrowers weren’t sending back their paperwork. They also have accused the Obama administration of initially pressuring them to sign up borrowers without insisting first on proof of their income. When banks later moved to collect the information, many troubled homeowners were disqualified or dropped out.

Obama officials dispute that they pressured banks. They have defended the program, saying lenders are making more significant cuts to borrowers’ monthly payments than before the program was launched. And some of the largest mortgage companies in the program have offered alternative programs to those who fell out.

Homeowners who qualify can receive an interest rate as low as 2 percent for five years and a longer repayment period. Those who have successfully navigated the program to reach permanent modifications have seen their monthly payments cut on average by about $500.

Homeowners first receive temporary modifications and those are supposed to become permanent after borrowers make three payments on time and complete all the required paperwork. That includes proof of income and a letter explaining the reason for their troubles. But in practice, the process has taken far longer.

The more than 100 participating mortgage companies get taxpayer incentives to reduce payments. As of mid-June only $490 million had been spent out of a potential $75 billion the government has made available to help stem the wave of foreclosures

Have you heard the new term? Home Repossession not Home Foreclosure

August 14, 2010

The new term for Home Foreclosure is Home Repossession. That is the new politically correct term for foreclosure.

They think we won’t notice.  They think it sounds better, softer more friendly.

Sorry folks but before any comment will be reviewed for content then if approved – by me – I’ll post.

There was a short period where I left it open to post without review – That will never happen again.

I have received way to much nonsense.  Aside from the normal spam – I will not permit any company to try to solicit  business – to prey on folks here that have real issues. I will not allow negative rants.  There is a whole lot garbage that went into the trash.

If you do not read the blog and all comments  you do not “GET” what this blog is about.

These folks are NOT looking for a hand out they are looking for a solution to their problems and maybe some venting along the way helps them. To know I was not alone has been and incredible eye-opening experience and empowering.

Put downs and name calling NOT ALLOWED here.  These people ran into hard times and need support NOT vicious remarks.  If you’ve ever fallen on hard times through no fault of your own – then you get this blog.  If your live is so good that you can JUDGE others then this is not the blog for you.

First Horizon – Astounding Arrogance – 30 Days – Still can’t find My Check

April 22, 2010

It is now day 30 – still not a word on the Treasurer’s Check.

These people are a special breed.  I have never encountered such arrogance, incompetence and lack of knowledge.  They can’t even lie right.  Sally Miller finally called me after 13 days.  She had the audacity to lie to me and think I would not call her on it.  She lied about the entire  phone call. I was supposed to call her back – know she was to call me back with information on the missing check.  She was slurping in my ear – eww.  Can’t track the check without the routing number – are you kidding me Sally – it is right in your hand.  Do you seriously think that is the only way to track  a check?  I did get a replacement check – now I am deciding if I will give them any money at all.  It’s a toss-up.  At this point it looks like they are trying to get whatever money they can from me and then – wham – they will foreclose.   I think my lawyer will tell me not to send the check.

I take copious notes while speaking with anyone.  I could go on with the numerous lies – but it’s just boring now.

I’d be stupid to think I will be getting any help from them.

I do have another number – the really should invest in caller ID block.  Sally Miller 1-214-441-6152

Keep calling, faxing and emailing –  call the governor and mayor of your state – they do not like boarded up houses.  Call (email could take weeks)  your US and state senator and representatives – they all have constituent services – don’t let up.

I am still working on a few other contacts – stay tuned…

IBM Lender Business Process Servicer First Horizon – Foreclosure

April 20, 2010

Do you think there will be any communication with these people?  I do not.

I am working on this right now – there is supposed to be a HAMP administrative support group – set up by the Obama Administration – for homeowners that have fallen by the wayside.  That would be me. Where you ended up in deep doo-doo because of the lenders failure to help.  This is for homeowner with a lender like mine – failed to work with the homeowner.

I will have another site tomorrow – once I investigate further.

Don’t give up!

FOXNews.com – Watchdog: Obama Foreclosure Aid Leaves Many Out

FOXNews.com – Watchdog: Obama Foreclosure Aid Leaves Many Out

HAMP IS A FAILURE – no kidding ABC news April 14,2010

April 14, 2010

The HAMP  Home Affordable Foreclosure Alternatives Program is a failure.  Another Obama Administration program that has failed.  Funded with BILLIONS of taxpayer dollars – for Millions of homeowners. They have only helped 170,000.  Obama – do to the bankers what you did to the American people on health care reform – ram it down their throats – change the constitution – force them to help.  You can do it.

I’ve been there with HAMP – HopeNow – check out my posts – they are a waste of your time. First Horizon kept sending me letters to contact Hope Now – yet First Horizon would not even speak to me directly.

That would be this program http://makinghomeaffordable.gov/

ABC did a miniscule piece the homeowners in trouble this morning.  Congressional Oversight Panel – this program only delays foreclosure – in the end the homeowners do not qualify.  Ya think!!!!   What have we been saying for months.  Now what are you going to do about it?  How are you going to fix it?

There was another very good point made – In that the Obama Administration found a way – real fast – to help Wall Street and yet – there is essentially NO help out there for the homeowner.   Washington wake up – if  the millions of homeowners are foreclosed upon – what do you think will happen to the economy?  The US economy is real estate.  With most manufacturing jobs – outsourced to China – and most customer service jobs to India – what is left?

Real Estate is the US economy.   This is only going to get worse in the months ahead.

And of course – The executive response (from my previous posts) team from First Horizon – was supposed to get back to me on Monday April 12, 2010 – they did not.  I did fax them on April 12, 2010 and April 13, 2010 – today is April 14, 2010.  No surprise there!  From the top down – follow up!!!!!!!

17 days First Horizon First Tennesse missing check

April 9, 2010

Today is day 17 of my missing bank check.

They have still not responded.  Have they found it and they holding it are they just playing games with us?

I am done placing calls – they do not answer anyway.  I guess I know fear they will arrest me for harassment.

I was placing two calls each day – but why bother now?   I can use that time – to write to another person.

Why do these incompetent lazy people still have jobs!

Why is the treatment we receive okay?   What ever happen to “professional” behavior?  It used to be that there was some communication – back and forth phone calls.  Today, unless they can “HIDE” behind their computer there is no communication.

I am still on my campagne of writing to anyone and everyone I can find.

Still no response from First Horizon 7 calls later

April 6, 2010

April 6, 2010

Dear Amy, 214- 441-6039

I find this entire situation – regarding the above account beyond just mind-boggling.  I am also tired of waiting for you to do your job. Is this just total incompetence?  You are (at best) totally unprofessional. We are not some for of “sub-human species” that you can just play around with at whim. We are in fact real human beings that deserve to be treated as such.  In the end we may lose our “HOME” it will not be because we did not fight hard – it will be out of gross incompetence, negligence and prejudice on First Horizon et al.  I include prejudice because that it what we are experiencing – yes, we are white, yes we are republicans, yes we are native born American citizens and yes, we actually work for a living.  We are committed to telling our story (to anyone that will listen) of just how First Horizon aka First American aka Metlife has ignored, misstated facts, misrepresented – this list goes on.  We qualified in July, for $ payments (another lost package) now we don’t?  We don’t make enough money. Then we make to much money.

You, Amy – stated “we want 3-4 regular payments then we’ll “stip to mod” – what do you send – 3 regular payments then a whopping balloon – not what we discussed on the phone.

I am done being patient and respectful. As I said First Horizon is determined to take our home of 23 years so it does not matter how “respectful” I am.

How difficult is it for you to pick up a phone?  How difficult is it to answer your own phone?

Since you called me on April 1, 2010 telling me (emphatically) that the documents dated March 13, 2010  (those same documents that were supposed to be dated march 8, 2010 and sent to us overnight – never sent) –“were no good” because you did not receive my treasurer’s check.  You “dismissed” me when I “tried” to explain to you that, yes I did purchase the check, yes, I went to the post office and sent that same check along with the documents. Express mail – overnight with delivery – signature confirmation on March 23, 2010 and that I had proof.  I received proof of delivery March 24, 2010.  You then told me you received this package on March 26, 2010 – the post office disagrees with you.

It was only when I took it upon myself to fax you proof.  Then you responded.

Your response was – “I received your fax and I will look into this.”  That call was on April 2, 2010 @ 10:27am.  Since them I have left 2 voice messages. Again, no reply.

I have all my home phone calls forwarded to my cell.  No chance of missing any calls from First Horizon.  I am reachable 24/7. Let’s not forget email – it is 21st century.

Yet, you cannot be bothered to reply.  It is must be a miracle that the attorney for Frist Horizon in Massachusetts  has no problem finding us. We got the  “foreclosure notice.”  Without any problem. First class mail and certified and they even contacted our attorney.  I anticipate another foreclosure notice.

Just so you know, I am forwarding this letter to the 19 politicians, (yes, they do reply) and 7 news media outlets, Attorney General Coakley, US/MA Consumer Affairs  et al – that I have been forwarding details of our plight.

Good Friday – First Horizon – I’ll look into this missing bank check.

April 2, 2010

I finally received a call back to my 5 voice mail messages.  Amy, received my fax – with proof and has decided she will look into this matter and get back to me.  What was she going to do before – NOTHING!

I am tried of the waiting – so first thing this morning (4/2/10)  I sent out the following letter.

April 2, 2010

TO:

Senator John Kerry             Senator Scott Brown           Senator John Cornyn          Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison

Senator Harry Reid             Speaker Nancy Pelosi         Leader John Boehner         State Senator Niki Tsongas

State Sen Susan Tucker     State Sen David Torrisi       State Rep Marty Meehan  First American

Governor Deval Patrick                First Horizon Home Loan  Orlans/Moran Attorney

Jake Carlson – HopeNow

On February 23, 2010 and January 10, 2009 I wrote to each one of you listed above.  I heard from several of you. Sadly most ignored our plight.  We will remember that when we vote.  Those that responded in assisting us in  stopping my home foreclosure. Thank You – we will remember in a positive way – when we vote.

While the foreclosure is temporarily stopped – I am now facing another threat.  I believe that this company First Horizon Home Loan, aka First American aka Metlife – needs to be fully investigated.

I am expanding my list because I believe that if I barrage enough people – I may get some help.  Someone may finally “get it.”  Someone may investigate.

MA Attorney General Martha Coakley          FDIC                                      Attorney General Eric Holder

MA Consumer Affairs                                        Better Business Bureau     ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, CNN

Eagle Tribune                                                       Boston Herald                      Boston Globe

NY Times         More names to be added soon

I refer you to my letters dated January 10, 2009 and February 23, 2010.

On March 8, 2010 I received a call from (Amy) First Horizon – she indicated that we would be receiving a package (overnight) to include the following:  We were to make 3 to 4 mortgage payments – to show consistency of payments – they then would consider a “stip to mod”.  I called (Amy) on March 13, 2010 – looking for the “overnight” package – Amy told me it was “out of her control” once the package left her hands.”  On March 16, 2010 that “overnight” package suddenly appears on my porch and it is date March 13, 2010.

This package is now different than what was discussed.  They now want 3 mortgage payments and a whopping balloon.  First payment due March 25, 2010.

On March 23, 2010 I purchased a bank treasurer check, went to the post office and sent this check along with the signed documents “Express mail overnight by noon March 24, 2010 with signature delivery confirmation. On March 24, 2010 package arrived and was signed for.  All was good, so I thought.

On April 1, 2010, 8 days later Amy calls me and states we did not receive your check, we did receive the signed documents and they are no longer any good. We received the documents on March 26, 2010 – 1 day late. After 2+ years of – I finally lost my temper. The lies, the inconsistency, lack of return calls, constant mailing of documents, lame excuses, never getting any answers, never speaking to anyone with any understanding of the situation, back and forth between companies – enough. I have proof of purchase 3/23 and proof of delivery 3/24.   I have since left 4 voice messages for Amy, 1 to Renzy Birrage and faxed my copies of  the bank check and mail receipt. I also emailed Larry Cole – counsel for MetLife – I have not heard back.  I predict I will receive another foreclosure notice – soon! It is their practice.

We know they are looking for any excuse to take our home. We have educated ourselves.  We have done a lot of research and have found that we are not alone.  First Horizon has a very bad reputation for leading homeowners on.  First they do not accept payments “under review – be patient” then they accept payments and in the end the homeowner will lose their home.  We have not qualified for any program – from not making enough money to making too much money.  Hope Now – Hope for Homeowner was a complete waste of time. Very bad information and false hope is all they offered. The list goes on.

Every program implemented by the Obama administration has not helped. There is always a backdoor out for the banks. The financial institutions will not work with the homeowners –dispute what Sec Geither says on YouTube before congress.  It is clear to us homeowners that the banks prefer to get as much money out of the homeowner as they can then take the house and write it off as a loss.

Another First Horizon Home Loan “LIE” my bête noire

April 1, 2010

After receiving finally (after 2 years) a phone call from First Horizon Home Loans – I stupidly thought now we are getting somewhere.  Wrong wrong wrong.  Amy, called us and stated – we will be sending you out another package ( apparently the package they sent us in July – I mean August got lost???) in this package you will make 3-4 mortgage payments – just to show us consistency of payments – and the we will stip to mod – whatever that means.  Poor Amy could not really explain it.

She was going to overnight this package on March 8, 2010.   I called her on March 13, 2010 looking for my overnight package. Amy tells me “Once it leaves her hands it’s out of her control” she did her job.  Okay!  The package arrives on March 17, 2010 and the documents are dated March 13, 2010.  (whopping lie) I think you lied to me – March 8 to March 13 – I don’t think you did your job at all.

The package is nothing like what we discussed.  3 payments at my old mortgage payment and then a whopping balloon payment and then they might accept more payments.  (whopping lie)  Not at all what was discussed.  Nevertheless, we decided to make the mortgage payment by the due date March 25, 2010.

March 23, 2010 – off to the bank – purchase a treasurers check – off to the post office to “Overnight Express by noon March 24, 2010”   Received the “signed for confirmation from the post office”  we think all is good.  How wrong we were!!!!

April 1, 2010 – Amy calls me and states in her very bitchy tone – “We received the documents there is no check – this agreement is no longer any good.”    I lost it big time.  I mean how many lies and bull can you take before you go nuts?

I have proof of purchase of the treasurers check – I have proof of delivery from the post office and I have a witness that watched me place all items in the envelope.  Amy does not care – she does not listen to anything.  Tells me to call my back to see if the check cleared.  I called her back – she gave me a wrong extension number (wtf) .  I found her and Renzy Birrage he’s the person that signed the letters.  I have left messages for them to call me back.  I bet they will not.  I emailed Larry Cole – he is the attorney for MetLIfe (aka Frist Horizon) I’ll bet he will not be bothered to respond.

What are they trying to pull now?  Are they that incompetent?  Are they just pure evil?  Do they think we are stupid?

I am not taking this anymore.  Contacted my attorney and I am going to fight them.  I want a judge to see the “HELL” they have put us though. I want every politician to understand that these financial institutions are not doing a damn thing to help homeowners.

I am mad as HELL and I am not going to take it anymore.

More to come!

Foreclosure stopped – HopeNow is a scam, shame, no HOPE

March 27, 2010

Dear President Obama:

Just so you know – the homeowners out here are NOT being helped.

Well I’ve been so busy trying to keep a roof over our head I did not have time to post.

I did manage to get the foreclosure stopped.  As I stated in my previous post I wrote to every one I could think of.  Today I am posting those names and how they responded to me.

1. HopeNow – aka AURITON SOLUTIONS  a Government Program set up by the Obama administration to help home owners in my situation.  This is the biggest scam of all.  Not only do they not help at all they are condensing and patronizing.  When I told my counselor I was going to write letters and  fax and send eMails and blog – Mr. Jacob Carlson told me that was NOT productive.  I needed to get the foreclosure stopped by First Horizon.  To concentrate on calling the weekly if necessary.  Not that I had weeks, in fact I only had days left.  He did male 1 (ONE) phone call – a three-way call with First Horizon – that was SO NOT productive.  Christine – she told us “Under Review”.  DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH HOPENOW – THERE IS NO HOPE USING THAT PROGRAM.  The counselor was to busying belittling me to offer any clear and constrictive help.

2. I sent a fax to First Horizon’s attorneys – the ones that sent me the foreclosure notice and printed our names in the local paper. Orlans/Moran located in Boston.  DID NOT HEAR FROM THEM.

3. Senator Scott Brown (MA) Heard from his office.  They sent a letter and followed up to let me know what was done.

4. Senator John Kerry (MA) Heard from his office.  They got in touch with the attorney for METLFE aka First Horizon. Mr Larry Cole – pretty much indicated that all this mess and delay was OUR fault.  I did sent him an email indicting that I was not taking the laying down – he did not see much success here.  Mindless brainless attorney.  I am not done with that man.  Funny how a senator staff member can get in touch with someone almost immediately and for 2+ years I could not.  Very telling First Horizon/Metlife .

5. Senator John Cornyn (TX) NO REPLY – NO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT.  First Horizon is located in Texas.

6. Senator Kay Baily Hutchinson (TX) – NO REPLY – NO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT.  First Horizon is located in Texas.

7. Senator Harry Reid (NV)  NO  REPLY – NO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

8. Speaker Nancy Pelosi (CA) NO REPLY – NO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

9. Leader John Boehner – NO REPLY – NO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

10. State Senator Nikki Tsongas (MA) Sent a letter – and followed up.  Were not in any way encouraging – never heard of  First Horizon – that’s telling in itself.  Not much help but did attempt.

11. State Senator Susan Tucker (MA) NO REPLY – NO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

12. State Senator David Torrisi (MA)NO REPLY – NO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

13. State Rep Marty Meehan (MA) NO REPLY – NO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

14. Gov Duvall Patrick (MA) (unexpected to hear from him) While his office did not send any letter or make any calls they did offer suggestions. Which were helpful.  A letter from his office would have also been helpful. His staffer sounded like she was 12 years old – she did not really have any concept of what a foreclosure was.

15. Massachusetts Division of  Banks.  My first call – I was treated very badly a very nasty man who refused to give me his name.  My second call more productive – but the attitude of the workers is just astounding.  Very nasty.  So be prepared to feel like crap after.  They did sent a letter – they did follow-up with me.

16. First Horizon – NO REPLY – NO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

17. First American – NO REPLY – NO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

18. MetLife – NO REPLY – NO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

19. The White House – NO REPLY – NO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Contacted an Attorney – More to come on this saga.

I will just say this –  all of those politicians that  NO REPLY – NO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT – will NOT be getting my vote.

If this helps one homeowner – then all this posting is worth it.

Today it was announced that President Obama is putting authorizing 14 BILLION in TARP to help home owners in trouble.  He tells us 1 in 4 home owners are in trouble.  I know that I won’t be getting any help – we are never that lucky – we are the hard-working citizens of this country.

The 14 Billion is suppose to be distributed as follows:

1. Unemployed – no problem – adjust the monthly payment for 6 months – if you are underwater – reduce the principal.

2. Anyone in trouble and underwater – banks will have an incentive to reduce the principal.

3. Current and underwater – reduce principle and make your mortgage FHA.

I swear to GOD – this was on CNN and FOX TODAY.  If you think that any citizen is going to be help – you are NUTS.

It may not be all Obama’s fault here.  The banks are so greedy that they will NOT do anything to help any homeowner.

I will post another day on what I finally received from Frist Horizon Home Loans – their way of  helping is criminal.  They are thieves and crooks – they have no intention of  helping.  Which is why we now have an attorney.

Keep fighting. Keep writing.

Is it any wonder why we “American Citizens” are anrgy at all our in power!!!

March 3 2010 count down to my foreclosure with First Horizon

March 4, 2010

I am sure many of you (to many) are facing what my family is going though.  How much bailout money do we give these incompetent financial fools before they actually start helping the home owners?  Well now, in the case of First Horizon (National) Home Loan they received  $866,540,00 from the taxpayers.  How much of that money helped any of you? Click on this link for more details on the bailout money:   http://bailout.propublica.org/main/list/index

We have lived in this home for 20+ years this is not a home we could not afford – this was not fraud – this was not a bubble.  We had a financial hardship.  We were able to correct this and have been struggling –  but making it.  We are not looking for the government to give us free money.  All we want and have wanted for over 2 years is to start making payments.

Those decision makes – isolate themselves from us.  Why?

All we can do is sit and wait. Are you like me calling over and over, sending the documents over and over?  Did you ever get to speak to anyone other than someone who only takes messages?  Are you told – whoops – we seem to be missing documents – so you fax, you mail and still they seemed to be missing those same documents you already sent 5 times?

Are you on the phone each week – for hours just waiting for someone to answer simple questions?  Do they talk to you like you are the lowest form of life?  Do you even have any diginity left after those calls.

Why are we not allowed to speak with anyone that has some knowledge of your situation?

This week I have emailed and faxed – to the Governor, Senators,  Representatives, Pelosi, Reid, every Politian connected to my state including – The White House.  One can only Hope.  Speaking of  Hope – Hope for Homeowners – Hope Now – What a scam.

I’ll be updating those I wrote to and those that responded.  I am going to hold them accountable – after all they all voted for bailouts and TRAP to help those big banks.  Those same politicians told all us home owners – they would make sure those banks were helping people keep their homes – so lets see what happens.

Yes, Mr. Obama – you are accountable as well.   After all –  you are on my TV everyday saying the banks are helping the home owner.

Hello world!
